Award-Winning Filmmaker

Lucas is an award-winning filmmaker with over 20 years of experience creating documentaries and narrative films that inspire action and drive results. His work has reached millions of viewers and helped raise millions of dollars for education and youth-focused organizations. As Co-Founder of the Community Film Project, he leads storytelling that blends cinematic quality with real-world impact.

Neil Larson
Director of Photography
Neil leads the visual design of the film, overseeing lighting, camera, and shot composition to bring each scene to life on screen. Known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail, he plays a key role in shaping the look and tone of the production while keeping sets moving efficiently.

Kara Jensen
Content Lead/Cast
Kara is our Assistant Producer and Cast as our Lead Role, Shannon. Kara supports production logistics and cast coordination while also performing on screen, giving her a unique perspective on both sides of the camera. With a background in professional performance, photography, and music education, she brings strong communication and creative insight to every stage of production. Her ability to connect with both crew and talent helps keep sets organized, focused, and collaborative.

Emily Denhalter
Production Lead/Producer
Emily leads production logistics and creative coordination, making sure every moving part of a shoot comes together smoothly. With experience in film, digital content, and live sports broadcasts, she thrives in fast-paced environments that demand both precision and adaptability. Her background in education also makes her a strong communicator and team lead on set

Chris Bamford
Camera Operation/ Editing & Script Writing
Chris brings over 20 years of military discipline and leadership into every production, combining technical precision with a strong sense of storytelling. With a background in psychology and award-winning photography, he’s known for capturing authentic moments that connect emotionally with audiences. Off set, he’s a proud husband and dad of three who believes the best stories always start with people.

Adam Figueira
Sound/Audio Tech and Educational Cordinator
Adam brings over a decade of experience in filmmaking, design, and live event production, with a passion for helping others grow creatively. With an MFA in Media Design and a background in both teaching and freelance production, he supports the team through creative guidance and technical insight. His focus on positive impact and community development aligns closely with the mission of the Community Film Project.

Brooke Yates
Administration Lead /
Project Manager
Brooke brings over 13 years of project management and leadership experience to the Community Film Project, overseeing schedules, budgets, and team coordination. She specializes in streamlining processes and keeping productions organized, efficient, and on track. Her ability to bridge creative and operational teams makes her a key driver of smooth, successful shoots.

Doug Brunnette
Fundraising Lead
Doug supports the Community Film Project by helping lead fundraising efforts and building relationships within the community. His work focuses on connecting the film with individuals and organizations who believe in the project’s mission and want to play a role in bringing meaningful stories to the screen.
